Biography
Lance Sergeant Tommy Brennan of the Manchester Regiment fought in the reconquest of Burma. A textile worker from Ancoats, he volunteered in 1939 and served in India before being sent to fight the Japanese in the jungles of Burma. He died of malaria shortly after VJ Day in 1945.

Младший сержант Томми Бреннан из Манчестерского полка сражался при освобождении Бирмы. Текстильный рабочий из Анкоутса, он добровольно пошёл на фронт в 1939 году и служил в Индии, прежде чем был направлен на борьбу с японцами в джунглях Бирмы. Умер от малярии вскоре после дня победы над Японией в 1945 году.
