Biography

My grandfather's brother, Pavel Vasilyevich Titov, fought in World War II against the Japanese from 1944 to 1945. He volunteered for the navy at 17, lied to the recruiting office about his age, and said he was 18, which they believed because of his height. He was a member of the 502nd Motorized Division, the 13th Marine Brigade of the ASBO, and the 354th Separate Marine Battalion. Pavel retired from the navy in 1956. Брат моего деда, Титов Павел Васильевич, участвовал во второй мировой войне против японцев с 1944 по 1945 год. Он пошел добровольцем на флот в 17 лет, соврал военкомату о своем возрасте и сказал, что ему 18 лет, чему они поверили из-за его роста.
