Biography
Warrant Officer Stanislaw Zielinski escaped from Poland after the 1939 invasion, making his way through Romania and France to Britain. Based near Manchester, he flew Wellington and later Lancaster bombers with the all-Polish 300 Squadron. He completed 45 missions over occupied Europe. After the war, unable to return to communist Poland, he settled in Manchester where he became a watchmaker and a pillar of the Polish community, organizing annual commemorations of the Warsaw Uprising.

Уорент-офицер Станислав Зелинский бежал из Польши после вторжения 1939 года, добравшись через Румынию и Францию до Британии. Он летал на бомбардировщиках «Веллингтон» и «Ланкастер» в польской 300-й эскадрилье, совершив 45 боевых вылетов. После войны он поселился в Манчестере.
