Biography

Bombardier Harold Ashworth served with the Royal Artillery throughout the North Africa and Italian campaigns. A cotton mill worker from Oldham before the war, he fought at El Alamein, through Sicily, and up the boot of Italy. He was wounded at Salerno but returned to his unit.

Бомбардир Гарольд Эшворт служил в Королевской артиллерии на протяжении Северо-Африканской и Итальянской кампаний. До войны работал на хлопчатобумажной фабрике в Олдхэме, сражался при Эль-Аламейне, через Сицилию и вверх по Апеннинскому полуострову. Был ранен при Салерно, но вернулся в строй.
