Maria Ivanovna Gorkovenko (Komareva)

My great-grandmother lived in Moscow her entire life. She and her husband, Kirill Avramovich, raised three children. When the war began in 1941, she was working at Plant No. 330 in Moscow's Pervomaisky District. From July 22, 1941, to October 16, 1941, the brigade fulfilled its plan by 115-120%. Maria was an earthworks foreman and participated in the construction of a defensive ditch from October 16, 1941 to February 1942. Unfortunately, nothing more is known about her, as she sadly died in 1961 from cancer.
