Biography

Corporal Dorothy Wilkins served at Bletchley Park in Hut 6, working on the decryption of German Army and Air Force Enigma messages. Her work, kept secret for decades, contributed directly to Allied intelligence that shortened the war. After the war she moved to Manchester and became a mathematics teacher, never speaking of her wartime role until the secrecy was lifted in the 1970s.
