This collection brings together Soviet and Russian veterans who share a personal bond with the United Kingdom. Some are buried in British war cemeteries — Tidworth, Cannock Chase, Chester, Harrogate, Shaftesbury. Others were held in POW camps on British soil, or emigrated to the UK after the war. Many served together with British sailors on the dangerous Arctic convoy route. Their stories represent a living bridge between Russia and Britain, forged in the shared struggle against fascism.
