Biography
Yolanda Beekman was recruited by the SOE and trained as a wireless operator. She was parachuted into France in September 1943 and operated a clandestine radio transmitter near Saint-Quentin. She was captured by the Gestapo in January 1944 and executed at Dachau concentration camp in September 1944. She was posthumously awarded the Croix de Guerre.
