Vasily Sergeyevich Arkhipov, 29 December 1906 – 13 June 1985. A Soviet tank officer. He commanded a tank company in the Soviet-Finnish war of 1939-1940 and, during the Great Patriotic War, the 53rd Guards Tank Brigade of the 6th Guards Tank Corps, 3rd Guards Tank Army, 1st Ukrainian Front. Twice a Hero of the Soviet Union: the first title for the Finnish war in 1940, the second on 23 September 1944. He became a colonel general of tank troops in 1963; the rank field holds the rank he held during the Great Patriotic War.
