Biography
Boris Mikhailovich Volkov commanded a T-34 tank platoon in the 3rd Guards Tank Army. He participated in the Battle of Kursk, the largest tank battle in history, and continued fighting through Poland to Berlin. His tank was knocked out three times during the war, but he survived each time. He settled in Manchester after marrying an Englishwoman he met in Berlin in 1945.

Борис Михайлович Волков командовал взводом танков Т-34 в 3-й гвардейской танковой армии. Участвовал в Курской битве — крупнейшем танковом сражении в истории — и продолжал воевать через Польшу до Берлина. Его танк был подбит три раза за войну, но он каждый раз выживал. Обосновался в Манчестере, женившись на англичанке, которую встретил в Берлине в 1945 году.
