Biography
Sergeant Stanley Briggs was a glider pilot from Bristol who flew Horsa gliders during Operation Market Garden in September 1944. His glider carried troops of the 1st Airborne Division to Arnhem. He was killed in action during the withdrawal across the Rhine at Oosterbeek.
