Biography
Alexander Sokolov was a navigator in the 588th Night Bomber Regiment, flying Po-2 biplanes on night bombing missions. He completed over 200 combat sorties. After the war, he studied aeronautical engineering in London and spent his career at BAE Systems in Bristol.
