Biography
Nina Petrova fought as a partisan behind German lines in the Bryansk forests of western Russia. At 18, she joined a partisan brigade after her village was occupied in 1941. For three years, she participated in sabotage operations against German supply lines, railway demolitions, and intelligence gathering. Petrova served as a courier, carrying vital messages between partisan groups through territory crawling with German patrols. She was wounded during an ambush in 1943 but continued fighting until the liberation of Bryansk. After the war, she worked as a teacher and moved to Nottingham in 2000 to be near relatives.

Нина Петрова воевала партизанкой в Брянских лесах. В 18 лет присоединилась к партизанской бригаде после оккупации её деревни. Участвовала в диверсиях на немецких коммуникациях.
