Mastan Astan oglu (Astanovich) Aliyev, 1918 – 23 April 1945. He served as assistant commander of a rifle platoon in the 487th Rifle Regiment of the 143rd Rifle Division, 129th Rifle Corps, 47th Army, 1st Belorussian Front, with the rank of starshina. He was killed on 23 April 1945, a fortnight before the end of the war in Europe, and the title Hero of the Soviet Union was conferred posthumously on 31 May 1945.
