Biography
Lance Corporal James Okonkwo was born in Lagos, Nigeria and served with the Royal West African Frontier Force in the Burma campaign. He fought in the dense jungles of the Arakan and participated in the advance to Mandalay. After the war he emigrated to Bristol where he worked in the docks and became a community leader, advocating for recognition of West African soldiers' contributions to victory.

Он сражался в густых джунглях Аракана и участвовал в наступлении на Мандалай.
