Biography
Flight Sergeant Ernest Chambers flew Lancaster bombers with No. 44 Squadron from RAF Dunholme Lodge. He completed 27 missions over Germany before his aircraft was shot down during a raid on Stuttgart in March 1944. He was just 23 years old. His name is inscribed on the Runnymede Memorial.
