Biography
Leading Aircraftwoman Doris Hancock served with the WAAF at RAF Filton near Bristol, working in the meteorological section. She provided weather forecasts essential for bomber operations and fighter defence. She survived the devastating bombing of the Bristol Aeroplane Company factory at Filton in September 1940.
