Biography
Flight Sergeant Arthur Jenkins served as a rear gunner with 617 Squadron — the famous "Dambusters." He joined the squadron after the initial dams raid and flew on precision bombing operations against V-weapon sites, the Tirpitz, and strategic targets. His Lancaster was shot down over Germany in early 1945; he survived by parachute and was a prisoner of war until liberation. He returned to Bristol where he ran a small engineering firm.

Флайт-сержант Артур Дженкинс служил хвостовым стрелком в 617-й эскадрилье — знаменитых «Разрушителях плотин». Он присоединился к эскадрилье после первоначальной атаки на плотины и участвовал в точечных бомбардировках позиций V-оружия, «Тирпица» и стратегических целей. Его «Ланкастер» был сбит над Германией в начале 1945 года; он спасся на парашюте и был военнопленным до освобождения.
