Biography
Anna Mikhailovna Petrova served as a nurse during the Siege of Leningrad, working in a field hospital through the worst of the blockade from 1941 to 1944. She tended to thousands of wounded soldiers and civilians, often operating with minimal supplies and in freezing conditions. After the war, she married a British military officer she met during the Allied victory celebrations in Berlin. They settled in Bristol in 1946. Anna worked at the Bristol Royal Infirmary and was a passionate advocate for remembering the Siege of Leningrad in the West.

Анна Михайловна Петрова служила медсестрой во время блокады Ленинграда, работая в полевом госпитале в самые тяжёлые дни блокады с 1941 по 1944 год. Она оказала помощь тысячам раненых солдат и гражданских лиц, часто работая с минимумом материалов и в морозных условиях. После войны она вышла замуж за британского офицера и поселилась в Бристоле в 1946 году.
