Biography
Senior Sergeant Zoya Fedorova served as a signals operator with the 3rd Shock Army from 1943 to 1945. She was in the signals unit that maintained communications during the storming of the Reichstag in May 1945 — the symbolic moment of Germany's defeat. After the war she worked in telecommunications in Moscow. She moved to Birmingham in 2010 to be with her grandson's family and was the city's last known survivor of the Battle of Berlin.

Старший сержант Зоя Фёдорова служила связисткой в 3-й ударной армии с 1943 по 1945 год. Она была в подразделении связи, обеспечивавшем связь во время штурма Рейхстага в мае 1945 года — символического момента поражения Германии. После войны работала в телекоммуникациях в Москве. Переехала в Бирмингем в 2010 году к семье внука.
