Biography

Dorothy Hargreaves was an ENSA performer who entertained troops across North Africa and Western Europe from 1943 to 1945. She performed at field hospitals, military camps, and forward positions, often within range of enemy fire. Her company also performed for Soviet liaison officers stationed in London. After the war she became a music teacher in Hampstead and was known for her charity work with veterans' families.
