Biography
Leading Stoker Trevor Jones served in the engine room of HMS Belfast, the famous cruiser now preserved on the Thames. He was aboard during the Battle of North Cape on 26 December 1943, when Belfast helped sink the German battlecruiser Scharnhorst. He also served during the D-Day bombardment of Gold Beach in June 1944. Trevor lived in Liverpool after the war and visited HMS Belfast regularly.
