Biography
Thomas Hargreaves was a Lance Corporal in the 2nd Battalion, Grenadier Guards who fought through the Normandy campaign and into the Low Countries. He distinguished himself during an assault on a fortified farmhouse near Nijmegen in September 1944, single-handedly neutralising an enemy machine gun post and earning the Military Medal. He was killed in action during Operation Market Garden at the age of 24.

Томас Харгривз был младшим капралом 2-го батальона Гренадерской гвардии, сражавшимся в Нормандии и Нидерландах. Отличился при штурме укреплённой фермы под Неймегеном в сентябре 1944 года. Погиб в бою во время операции «Маркет Гарден» в возрасте 24 лет.
