Biography
Flight Lieutenant Thomas Edward Wright served with the legendary 617 Squadron (the Dambusters) from 1943. He flew precision bombing missions over occupied Europe and participated in the famous raids on V-weapon launch sites. He was killed in action during a low-level raid on the Dortmund-Ems Canal in September 1944, aged 26. His family later settled in Hampstead where his widow raised their two children.

Флайт-лейтенант Томас Эдвард Райт служил в легендарной 617-й эскадрилье (Разрушители плотин) с 1943 года. Он выполнял точные бомбардировочные миссии над оккупированной Европой и участвовал в знаменитых налётах на стартовые площадки оружия возмездия. Погиб в бою во время низковысотного налёта на канал Дортмунд-Эмс в сентябре 1944 года в возрасте 26 лет.
