Biography
Petty Officer Thomas Dockery served aboard HMS Starling, the famous sloop commanded by Captain Frederic Walker, the most successful anti-submarine commander of the war. Dockery was an ASDIC operator whose skill at detecting U-boats contributed to Walker's 2nd Support Group sinking over twenty submarines. His expertise in underwater sound detection was instrumental during multiple convoy escort actions in the Atlantic. He survived the entire war at sea and returned to work on the Liverpool docks.

Старшина Томас Докери служил на борту HMS Starling, знаменитого шлюпа под командованием капитана Фредерика Уокера, самого успешного противолодочного командира войны. Докери был оператором ASDIC, чьё мастерство в обнаружении подводных лодок способствовало потоплению 2-й группой поддержки более двадцати субмарин. После войны вернулся к работе в Ливерпульском порту.
