Biography
Leading Stoker Stanley George Moss from Liverpool was serving aboard the battleship HMS Barham when she was torpedoed by U-331 in the Mediterranean on 25 November 1941. The ship capsized and her magazines exploded, killing 862 of her crew of over 1,000. The loss was kept secret by the Admiralty for months. Stanley was 29 years old.
