Biography
Stanislav Kowalski was a Polish pilot who flew Hurricanes and later Spitfires with the legendary 303 Squadron during the Battle of Britain. The Polish pilots of 303 Squadron achieved the highest number of kills of any RAF squadron during the battle. After the war, Kowalski chose to remain in London rather than return to communist-controlled Poland. He worked as an engineer in Ealing and was a founding member of the Polish Air Force Association in London.

Станислав Ковальский был польским лётчиком, летавшим на «Харрикейнах» и позже «Спитфайрах» в составе легендарной 303-й эскадрильи во время Битвы за Британию. Польские лётчики 303-й эскадрильи одержали наибольшее количество побед среди всех эскадрилий RAF во время битвы. После войны Ковальский предпочёл остаться в Лондоне, а не возвращаться в Польшу. Он работал инженером в Илинге и был одним из основателей Ассоциации польских ВВС в Лондоне.
