Biography
Guards Lieutenant Semyon Konev served with the 3rd Guards Tank Army in the final push into Germany. His T-34 crew fought through the Silesian offensive and into the suburbs of Berlin. On 25 April 1945, his tank was hit by a Panzerfaust in a street battle near the Tiergarten. He managed to evacuate his crew before succumbing to his wounds. He was 23 years old. A Brighton teacher registered his story as part of a project on the final days of the war.

Гвардии лейтенант Семён Конев служил в 3-й гвардейской танковой армии. Его Т-34 был подбит фаустпатроном в уличном бою у Тиргартена 25 апреля 1945 года. Он эвакуировал экипаж, но сам погиб. Ему было 23 года.
