Biography
Samuel Adeyemi travelled from Lagos, Nigeria to volunteer for the RAF in 1941. He trained as a wireless operator and served with No. 100 Group on electronic countermeasures missions over Germany. His unit jammed German night-fighter control frequencies, protecting Bomber Command aircraft. He settled in Brixton after the war and became a community leader in the West African diaspora.
