Biography
Corporal Samuel Adebayo served with the Royal West African Frontier Force in the Burma campaign, fighting in some of the most challenging terrain and conditions of the entire war. His unit played a crucial role in the Arakan offensive and the advance on Mandalay. West African soldiers received little recognition for their contribution despite suffering heavy casualties. After the war, Samuel came to Leeds to work in the textile industry. He became an advocate for the recognition of African soldiers' contribution to the Allied victory.

Капрал Самуэль Адебайо служил в Королевских Западноафриканских пограничных войсках в Бирманской кампании, сражаясь в одних из самых сложных условий всей войны. После войны приехал в Лидс, где работал в текстильной промышленности и боролся за признание вклада африканских солдат.
