Biography
Ruth Ashworth was recruited from Newnham College, Cambridge to work at Bletchley Park in Hut 6, analysing intercepted German Army and Luftwaffe Enigma traffic. Her mathematical skills contributed to breaking daily cipher keys. She never spoke of her wartime work until the Official Secrets Act was lifted decades later.
