Biography

Wing Commander Richard Fenwick flew 48 bombing operations over Germany and occupied Europe with Bomber Command. He later served as an instructor training new bomber crews at RAF Upwood near Cambridge. After the war he became a Fellow at Peterhouse, Cambridge, teaching modern history with a focus on the air war. He was a strong advocate for reconciliation and lectured on the strategic bombing campaign's moral complexities.

Командир авиакрыла Ричард Фенвик совершил 48 бомбардировочных вылетов над Германией и оккупированной Европой в составе Бомбардировочного командования. Позже служил инструктором, обучая новые экипажи бомбардировщиков на базе RAF Апвуд под Кембриджем. После войны стал членом колледжа Питерхаус в Кембридже, преподавая новейшую историю с акцентом на воздушную войну.
