Biography
Lieutenant Colonel Pyotr Vasilievich Zhukov commanded a tank battalion in the 5th Guards Tank Army. He fought at Prokhorovka during the Battle of Kursk — the largest tank battle in history — and later in the final assault on Berlin. He was a decorated officer who emigrated to Nottingham in 1978 to work in the automotive industry, drawing on his deep knowledge of armoured vehicles.
