Biography
Viktor Popov fought in the 13th Guards Rifle Division under General Rodimtsev during the Battle of Stalingrad. His company held positions near Mamayev Kurgan for 47 days. Twice wounded, he returned to his unit and crossed the Elbe in 1945. He settled in Glasgow in 1958 and worked at the Clyde shipyards.

Виктор Попов сражался в 13-й гвардейской стрелковой дивизии под командованием генерала Родимцева в Сталинградской битве. Его рота 47 дней удерживала позиции у Мамаева кургана. Дважды ранен, вернулся в строй и в 1945 году форсировал Эльбу. В 1958 году поселился в Глазго и работал на верфях Клайда.
