Percy Blackwell

Percy Blackwell worked the Southampton docks throughout the war, loading and unloading supply convoys under constant threat of air raids. During the Blitz of November 1940, he helped rescue trapped workers from a bombed warehouse. His logistical expertise kept vital supplies flowing to troops overseas despite devastating Luftwaffe attacks that destroyed much of the port infrastructure.
