Biography
Trooper Patrick Seamus Murphy, an Irishman living in London, volunteered for the 6th Airborne Division. He parachuted into Normandy in the early hours of 6 June 1944, helping to capture the bridges over the Orne River and Caen Canal — operations essential to protecting the eastern flank of the D-Day landings. He was killed during the fighting at Bréville on 12 June 1944.

Рядовой Патрик Шеймус Мёрфи, ирландец, живший в Лондоне, добровольно вступил в 6-ю воздушно-десантную дивизию. Десантировался в Нормандию в ночь на 6 июня 1944 года. Погиб в бою при Бревилле 12 июня.
