Biography
Leading Stoker Patrick O'Connor kept the engines running on HMS Dido through Arctic Convoy escorts to Murmansk and Archangel. Working below decks in the engine room, he and his crew maintained power through U-boat attacks, air raids, and the brutal Arctic storms. He served on four convoy runs to North Russia in 1942-43. Born and raised in Belfast, he returned to work at Harland and Wolff shipyard after the war.

Он совершил четыре конвойных рейса в Северную Россию в 1942-43 годах.
