Biography
Vera Orlova was one of the female snipers of the 3rd Shock Army. She confirmed 28 enemy eliminations during the advance from the Vistula to Berlin. After the war, she studied medicine in Leningrad and later emigrated to Belfast in 1970, where she practised as a GP until retirement.

Вера Орлова была одной из женщин-снайперов 3-й ударной армии. Во время наступления от Вислы до Берлина на её счету 28 подтверждённых поражений. После войны изучала медицину в Ленинграде, а в 1970 году эмигрировала в Белфаст, где работала врачом общей практики до выхода на пенсию.
