Biography

Olga Petrova, born in London to Russian émigré parents, was recruited by the War Office for her fluency in Russian, German, and French. She worked as an interpreter during interrogations of German POWs and later at the Nuremberg Trials. Her language skills and cultural understanding were invaluable in extracting intelligence and preparing case materials for the prosecution of war criminals.
