Biography
Sergeant Olga Kravchenko served as a sniper with the 62nd Army during the Battle of Stalingrad. Operating in the ruins of the city for five months, she was credited with 36 confirmed kills. After Stalingrad she continued to fight westward until being severely wounded at the Dnieper crossing. After recovery she served in a training role until the war's end. She emigrated to Liverpool in the 1990s where she was known for her quiet dignity and reluctance to speak about the war.

Сержант Ольга Кравченко служила снайпером в 62-й армии во время Сталинградской битвы. Действуя в руинах города в течение пяти месяцев, на её счету 36 подтверждённых поражений. После Сталинграда продолжала сражаться на запад, пока не была тяжело ранена при форсировании Днепра. После выздоровления служила инструктором до конца войны. Эмигрировала в Ливерпуль в 1990-х годах.
