Biography
Senior Sergeant Olga Chernysheva served as a mechanic with the 586th Fighter Aviation Regiment — an all-female unit that flew Yak-1 fighters to defend Stalingrad and other cities from German bombers. She maintained the aircraft that the women pilots flew, often working through the night in freezing conditions to keep planes airworthy. She moved to Edinburgh in 2003.

Старший сержант Ольга Чернышева служила механиком 586-го истребительного авиаполка — женского подразделения на истребителях Як-1. Обслуживала самолёты, работая ночами на морозе. Переехала в Эдинбург в 2003 году.
