Biography
Lieutenant Nikolai Zhukov served in the Soviet Northern Fleet as a convoy escort officer. He participated in receiving Arctic convoys PQ-17 and PQ-18 at Murmansk and Archangel. After the war, Nikolai settled in Glasgow where a community of former Soviet naval personnel had formed. He remained active in veteran circles until his passing in 1994.

Лейтенант Николай Жуков служил в Северном флоте в качестве офицера конвойного сопровождения. Он участвовал в приёме арктических конвоев PQ-17 и PQ-18 в Мурманске и Архангельске. После войны Николай поселился в Глазго, где сформировалось сообщество бывших советских военно-морских офицеров. Он оставался активным участником ветеранских организаций до своей кончины в 1994 году.
