Biography

Petty Officer Morag Sinclair served in the WRNS at the Rosyth naval base near Edinburgh, working in the Fleet Air Arm's operations room. She coordinated naval air operations over the North Sea and helped track convoys and enemy submarine movements. During the Forth Bridge raid of October 1939 — the first Luftwaffe attack on Britain — she was on duty and helped coordinate the defence. She later became one of the first female meteorological officers in the Royal Navy. After the war, she worked at the Royal Observatory on Blackford Hill until her retirement.

Старшина Мораг Синклер служила в WRNS на военно-морской базе Росайт близ Эдинбурга, работая в оперативном зале авиации флота. Координировала морские воздушные операции над Северным морем. Во время налёта на мост Форт в октябре 1939 года — первой атаки Люфтваффе на Британию — она была на дежурстве. После войны работала в Королевской обсерватории на холме Блэкфорд.
