Biography
Mikhail Konstantinovich Berezin was one of the youngest soldiers to participate in the Battle of Berlin in April 1945. Drafted at 18, he served in the 150th Rifle Division — the unit that famously raised the Victory Banner over the Reichstag. Though he did not personally climb the building, he fought in the streets around it. He was one of the last surviving veterans of that division. He lived in London from 1995 until his passing at 92.

Михаил Константинович Берёзин был одним из самых молодых солдат, участвовавших в Берлинской операции в апреле 1945 года. Призванный в 18 лет, он служил в 150-й стрелковой дивизии — подразделении, прославившемся водружением Знамени Победы над Рейхстагом. Хотя сам он не поднимался на здание, он участвовал в уличных боях вокруг него. Жил в Лондоне с 1995 года до кончины в возрасте 92 лет.
