Biography
Marguerite Dupont fled France after the fall of Paris in 1940 and joined the Free French Forces in London. Trained as a military nurse, she served in field hospitals across Normandy and into liberated Paris. After the war she married a British officer and settled in Brighton. Marguerite was a passionate advocate for Franco-British remembrance events and attended D-Day anniversary ceremonies until her late eighties.

Обученная военной медсестрой, она служила в полевых госпиталях Нормандии и освобождённого Парижа. После войны она вышла замуж за британского офицера и поселилась в Брайтоне. Маргерит была активным сторонником франко-британских мероприятий памяти.
