Biography
Captain Lev Feldman served as a tank company commander in the 5th Guards Tank Army. Born in Odessa, he studied engineering at Moscow State University before the war. He commanded T-34 tanks at Kursk in 1943, was wounded twice but returned to service both times. He participated in the Vistula-Oder offensive and the final push to Berlin. After the war he emigrated to the United Kingdom in 1957, settling in Cambridge where he became a respected mathematician at the university.

Капитан Лев Фельдман служил командиром танковой роты в 5-й гвардейской танковой армии. Родился в Одессе, до войны учился на инженера в МГУ. Командовал танками Т-34 на Курской дуге в 1943 году, был дважды ранен, но оба раза возвращался в строй. Участвовал в Висло-Одерской операции и в финальном наступлении на Берлин. После войны эмигрировал в Великобританию в 1957 году, поселился в Кембридже, где стал уважаемым математиком в университете.
