Biography
Kumar Singh served as a sapper in the Royal Bombay Sappers and Miners during the Burma campaign. He built bridges under fire to support the advance of the 14th Army through the Burmese jungle. After the war, he settled in Birmingham's Handsworth district in 1952 and worked in the automotive industry. He was active in local veterans' associations until his passing.
