Biography
Squadron Leader Jan Zumbach flew with the legendary 303 Polish Squadron during the Battle of Britain. A Polish airman who escaped via Romania and France after the fall of Poland, he was credited with 8 confirmed kills. He represented the thousands of Allied pilots from occupied nations who fought from British soil.
