Biography
Sergeant James MacPherson served with the 51st Highland Division from El Alamein through Sicily and into Normandy. A crofter's son from the Isle of Skye, he joined the Seaforth Highlanders in 1939. He was killed in action near Caen in July 1944 during Operation Epsom.
