Biography
Pilot Officer James MacDonald flew Spitfires with 602 (City of Glasgow) Squadron during the Battle of Britain. He shot down two Messerschmitt Bf 109s and one Heinkel He 111 during the battle. James was killed in action during a sweep over northern France in 1942. He was 28 years old. His medals are displayed at the Glasgow Museum of Transport.
